I first met Mandy in late July and was immediately impressed by her very professional approach combined with a very friendly and cheerful personality. I had recently been experiencing some problems with my stoma pouch that not only gave me cause for concern but also some loss of confidence in a procedure I had dealt with quite happily for three years. I am thrilled to say that following Mandy’s advice the problem is receding and confidence is restoredHi

I had my entire bladder and Prostate removed on 03/07/19 at Heartlands hospital under Mr Jaganathan Consultant surgeon. A stoma was installed. I spent some time in hospital care before transferring to Olivet Christadelphian Care Home (Acocks Green, Birmingham) for nearly 3 weeks of Respite Care. The nursing staff were very good at helping me replace my own Stoma bag.
I first met Mrs Mandy Smart (Fittleworth) on her first visit to my rented 2 bedroom flat on the edge of the Care Home. This was on Monday 12th August, 2019. This was after I had been released from Respite Care in Olivet on 2nd August. I was then taken to join a large Bible School (nearly 400 adults and children of all ages). This lasted for one week and I was brought back to my home
Mandy is charming, has a good sense of humour and encourages her patients to do as much as possible for themselves.
Her next visit was on Friday 30/08/19. Date had to be revised back from 02/09/19. I know that she keeps in touch with the nursing staff re my care. Those visits have continued approx every 6 weeks or so ever since. She checks on my stocks of kit and advises me when needed. Her last visit was Monday 03/08/20. I look forward to her visits and her replies to my queries.
